About the Artist

My Story

I was raised by a redneck before we ever knew what that term meant or it even became popular. He was a conservationist who loved the outdoors and worked hard to preserve it. He was constantly reusing things that he had or others had thrown out for new and exciting purposes.

That upbringing is what influences me today. I love taking wood that has been discarded or is scheduled for the dump and saving it for a new life to bring joy to this world. I try to look for the art within the wood before looking to where it would shine the brightest in the work. I am also extremely patriotic and love creating my flags for others to enjoy.

I hope you find my work as enjoyable as I do in making them. Art is such a subjective thing and I know that my version is not everyone’s cup of tea. Perhaps it’s yours and, if so, enjoy it. God Bless you and your family.
